Tomorrow is 'Coast Guard Day'. Founding of the U.S. Coast Guard in 1790 as the 'Revenue Marine', a customs enforcement service. Renamed in 1894 to 'Revenue Cutter Service' and again in 1915 it merged with the U.S. Life-Saving Service and became the US Coast Guard.
