National Coq Au Vin Day: More
Tomorrow's food holiday will be 'National Coq Au Vin Day'.
[The Hankster says] That is 'rooster with wine' in French. In the cooking pot, it is, chicken, cooked with wine, lardons (salt pork), mushrooms and garlic.
Tomorrow we honor a simple but useful thing. Tomorrow is 'National Paperclip Day'.
[The Hankster says] I think it is wonderful how the inventor and modifiers of this object had the foresight to invent something that modern electronics cannot do without. What would we do if we couldn't straighten out a paperclip to poke the reset button in most of our gadgets. And how clever of them to round the edges so we wouldn't prick ourselves while looking for a clip in the kitchen 'what-not' drawer. Someone said you could also use in in a pinch to hold papers together, bit I believe in
using things
for what they were meant.
If you are near Disneyland tomorrow, celebrate 'Bats Day in the Fun Park'. From the web site: 'Bats Day is a convention type event that happens during an entire weekend, once a year. Bats Day attracts people from all dark subculture genres and walks of life, from Deathrock to Goth, Industrial to Steampunk, Rockabilly to Psychobilly, Halloween and anywhere in between, all for the love of Disneyland, to have some spooky fun. The first 2 days of the weekend are reserved for events at the official hotel'.
Don't throw it away, let it decay. Tomorrow is 'Learn About Composting Day'.
Tomorrow is 'Put A Pillow On Your Fridge Day'.
[The Hankster says] Doing so, is supposed to bring good luck. I tried it one year I had to use a ladder and forgot and walked under it. I tripped and broke a mirror when a black cat walked in front of me. I'm being very careful for the next 6 years. Now i just put the fridge on the bed.
For those who are worried, you can celebrate 'End of the Middle Ages Day' tomorrow.

May is:
May origin (from Wikipedia):
The month May was named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified
with the Roman era goddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was
held in May. Conversely, the Roman poet Ovid provides a second etymology,
in which he says that the month of May is named for the maiores, Latin for
'elders,' and that the following month (June) is named for the iuniores, or 'young people'
May
'
is the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and one of seven months with the length of 31 days.
May is a month of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and spring in the Northern Hemisphere (Summer in Europe). Therefore May in the Southern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of November in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa.
