National Buttermilk Biscuit Day: More
Tomorrow's food holiday will be ''National Buttermilk Biscuit Day'.
[The Hankster says] I'm a city boy, but I love country cooking. Give me a few biscuits (US definition) with some pan sausage white gravy on top, and I am a happy boy. Hang the cholesterol and starches, full speed ahead.Well, for one meal anyway. You can have bran flakes tomorrow.
Get your dancing shoes on. Tomorrow is 'National Dance Like a Chicken Day'. The famous Chicken Dance has had several names and choreography before it came to the US and we made it what it is today. It was created by Swiss accordion player, Werner Thomas, in the 1950's as (believe it or not) the The Duck Dance.
Please don't think this post is getting seditious when I mention that tomorrow is 'National Underground America Day'. The day was created in 1974 by Malcolm Wells, an architect concerned with earth-sheltered architecture.
Tomorrow is 'The Stars and Stripes Forever Day'. It marks the first performance of the song at Willow Grove Park, on May 14, 1897.

May is:
May origin (from Wikipedia):
The month May was named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified
with the Roman era goddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was
held in May. Conversely, the Roman poet Ovid provides a second etymology,
in which he says that the month of May is named for the maiores, Latin for
'elders,' and that the following month (June) is named for the iuniores, or 'young people'
May
'
is the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and one of seven months with the length of 31 days.
May is a month of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and spring in the Northern Hemisphere (Summer in Europe). Therefore May in the Southern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of November in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa.
