Henry's Heads Up! - previous days social media post (updated daily)

Tomorrow's food holiday will be 'National Cream Puff Day'.
[The Hankster says] Love them, but the are deceiving. They look like a horn of plenty, but are all air.

Tomorrow is 'National Buffet Day'.
[The Hankster says] Now here is a day I can really get my teeth into (sorry)., if it is an all you can eat buffet. I wonder what a cream puff buffet would be like?

Tomorrow is also 'National Science Fiction Day'.
[The Hankster says] One of my favorite genres. I am ready for a science fiction buffet anytime. By this time I will be on the last leg of my annual New Years Twilight Zone marathon.

Tomorrow is 'National Personal Trainer Awareness Day'
[The Hankster says] We honor them the day after our new years resolutions, as they will never be heard of again until next New Year.

It will also be 'National Motivation and Inspiration Day' tomorrow.

Another awareness day tomorrow will be 'Pet Travel and Safety Day'.

An let us not forget 'Run it Up the Flagpole and See if Anyone Salutes Day'.
[The Hankster says] A New Year with new goals and ideas. Why not try 'um out and see what works.

Marguerite Auras once said 'The best way to fill time is to waste it.'
[The Hankster says] I'm not sure it is the best way, but it is the easiest. You can fill or waste your time, as you can only determine, by completing this post and discovering whether January 2 in the past was an optimistic half cup or a pessimistic half empty cup. You can then complete it's filling, applying the philosophy you choose.

In 1788, Georgia becomes the fourth state to ratify the United States Constitution.

In 1839, The first photo of the Moon by French photographer Louis Daguerre is taken. It is later destroyed in a fire.

In 1860, The discovery of the planet Vulcan is announced at a meeting of the French Academy of Sciences in Paris, France.
[The Hankster says] This was not Mr. Spock's planet. It wasn't even a planet. It was hypothesized due to the unexplained orbit of Mercury. The Theory of Relativity, later explained away the misunderstanding of the orbit and the planet itself.

In 1929, The U.S. and Canada agree to preserve Niagara Falls.
[The Hankster says] This was accomplished by diverting the Niagra River.

In 1955, The TV show 'Bob Cummings Show' (aka Love That Bob) premieres.

In 1959, Luna 1, the first spacecraft to reach the vicinity of the Moon and to orbit the Sun, is launched by the Soviet Union.

In 1906, Willis Carrier receives a US patent for the world's first air conditioner.

In 1974, U.S. President Nixon signs into law a national highway speed limit of 55 miles per hour. It was not for safety reasons, but an effort to reduce gas consumption due to the oil embargo of that time.

January is:

January origin (from Wikipedia): 'January is named after Janus, the God of beginnings and transitions; the name has its beginnings in Roman mythology, coming from the Latin word for door since January is the door to the year.'

'January is the first month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars and one of seven months with the length of 31 days. The first day of the month is known as New Year's Day. It is, on average, the coldest month of the year within most of the Northern Hemisphere (where it is the second month of winter) and the warmest month of the year within most of the Southern Hemisphere (where it is the second month of summer). In the Southern hemisphere, January is the seasonal equivalent of July in the Northern hemisphere and vice versa.'
