National Soft Ice Cream Day: More
All you people who don't have time to sit down and eat your dessert, grab that cone and pull that lever. Tomorrow will be 'National Soft Ice Cream Day' OK, a paper cup is OK, but let's dispose of it properly. The paper cup, I meant. I bet you know how to dispose of the ice cream. If not, bring it on by, and I will give a live demo.
Tomorrow is also 'National Ice Cream Pie Day'. Now, to me an ice cream cone is really an ice cream pie of sorts. A baked shell full of ice cream. An ice cream or even icebox pie is just right for August.
I was going to place an online order for my soft serve ice cream. I have had second thoughts, even though tomorrow is also 'Mail Order Catalog Day'. If you just want to trust your luck tomorrow, it's a good time. Tomorrow is also 'Serendipity Day'. Serendipity, has to do with an unexpected chance event that has favorable or positive outcome.

August is:
August origin (from Wikipedia): Originally named Sextili (Latin), because it was the sixth month in the original ten-month Roman calendar: under Romulus in 753 BC, when March was the first month of the year.
"About 700 BC it became the eighth month when January and February were added to the year before March by King Numa Pompilius, who also gave it 29 days. Julius Caesar added two days when he created the Julian calendar in 45 BC giving it its modern length of 31 days. In 8 BC it was renamed in honor of Augustus
According to a Senatus consultum quoted by Macrobius, he chose this month because it was the time of several of his great triumphs, including the conquest of Egypt.
