Tomorrow July 5 2014 is 'National Apple Turnover Day'. So, even though tomorrow is Saturday, turnover, rise and shine and maybe there will be a tasty treat for breakfast, for all good little boys and girls.
If you have to make your own breakfast, you might just have an easy treat. It is also, ' National Graham Cracker Day'. Originally created as a health food, they are far from that to day, with all the sugar and white flour. Guess that is why they taste so good.
Pastry and crackers won't satisfy the carnivore in you? Well SPAM luncheon meat was introduced on this date back in 1937. Fry up some to have with your hot sidewalk fried eggs left over from the 4th (you did give it a try, right?). For lunch, as a child, I was eating peanut butter, fried baloney or SPAM sandwiches for lunch. Still love the stuff.
When you are finally up-'n-at-'um, tomorrow morning, I'm sure you will approach the day with the correct attitude. It will be 'Workaholics Day'.
After taking care of all your chores, why not relax for ' Hop A Park Day'. Your local park may have some special activities all lined up for you.
You might want to consider a 'park' in the larger context and go to the beach to honor 'Bikini Day'.
Now, if you missed 'Watermelon Seed Spitting Day' a few days ago, cheer up and pucker up. It will be 'International Cherry Pit Spitting Day'. Might as well start practicing today. The Guinness record is 95 ft. 6.5 in.. And for watermelon, you ask.: 68 ft, 9 and 1/8 in.
