National Barbecued Spareribs Day: More
For us, in the US, tomorrow July 4 2014 will be 'Independence Day'. It will be a Federal holiday and Postal holiday. Canada had its' day back on the 1st, it's our turn now.
It will also be the day almost everyone breaks out the BBQ pit and celebrates 'National Barbecue Day'. It is not too early to get out those brushes and solvents and give that grill a good cleaning. You might place the pit over the bald spot on your lawn. You know the
spot where last Thanksgiving's outdoor deep fried turkey vat blew up.
Now if the words hamburgers, hot dogs and stakes don't readily come to your mind, don't worry. I have provided for that lapse of memory. The 4th will specifically be ' National Barbecued Spareribs Day'.
Ah, but you say, you are a vegetarian. Got you covered. Or at least someone has.
It is also ' Independence From Meat Day'.
Now, if you are not vegan or not Mysophobic (don't take time to look it up, it's just someone who has a fear of filth and germs), then why not celebrate 'Sidewalk Egg Frying Day'.
Meat eater or not, you can enjoy 'National Cesar Salad Day'. BTW, Cesar Cardini, who invented the salad in 1924, didn't add anchovies. He said that they overpowered the flavor of the salad.
BBQ, takes a while to prepare and just the right sidewalk may be hard to find quickly.
Would I let you stand by idol? It will be 'National Country Music Day', also. I, on the other hand will be reminiscing with the Beach Boys, since they hit the no. 1 song spot on July 4 1964 with 'Get Around'. A correlation between BBQ and singing (at least my singing) that I have yet to understand is the absence of guests at my BBQ parties. Perhaps the music is too loud.
And if you are still lingering in the year 1964, and who isn't, you only have one more
day to see 'A Shot in the Dark' before 'Circus World' takes over on July 5th.

to that, it was called Quintilis. It is, on average, the warmest month in
most of the Northern hemisphere (where it is the second month of summer)

January in the Northern hemisphere."
